Want to really test your skill in metering? Photograph the exhibits at a museum. There are a lot of difficult lighting scenarios that really test your understanding of light, film and metering. I love the results of this set. I shot it on color film, Portra 400, and pushed three stops to 3200. I could have simply used Ilford 3200, but Portra is cheaper to buy and process. Plus I always have it on me.
The portraits of William Penn are my favorites.
